Hi all.
For those interested in learning to build effective teams of activists no matter what the project, please attend the first in a series of Community Workshops -- a planning session to create the program overview -- tomorrow night, Tuesday, May 22, 6:30 to 8:00pm, at Panara Bread on Park Ave in Winter Park.
Especially if you are part of or would like to be part of a community project like Amnesty, CPA, YAYA, etc. -- any social, environmental or economic activist teams -- you are invited. Your experiences so far will contribute to the increased effectiveness of all of us.
Please bring with you your thoughts on your biggest concerns and challenges for your particular group at the moment. This will help us plan our inquiry together.
During the first few sessions we will most likely be practicing the art of effective invitation, discovering possibility, developing a sense of ownership, including the ideas and concerns of the marginalized, making space for voices of dissent, making public each others gifts, increasing our abilities in innovation, creativity and change.
Please let me know your intentions in this.
