Location: Pawtucket, RI

BA experience related to financial areas like forecasting, budgeting, ROI analysis etc, that would be an ideal fit

 

 

The finance group is beginning the RFP process for a Corporate Performance Management tool and is seeking a Business Analyst to assist the Project Manager with the RFP process, business case creation and business processes documentation/enhancements.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

•          Conduct analysis of business and user needs by gathering requirements through observation, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources

•          Facilitate process and data mapping sessions

•          Assist team in problem resolution, evaluation and implementation of solutions.

•          Ability to listen, question, and solicit information from non-technical product owners to discover true product goals and ambitions and craft solutions

•          Document future business process requirements

•          Contribute to RFP creation to ensure specifications are technically sound 

•          Assist the technical assessment supporting selection of vendors

•          Assist in creation of business case for overall project, including return on investment

 

Qualifications:

•          Minimum 2-3 years experience in a business analysis or similar technical role

•          Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in experience and self study; Masters Degree preferred.

•          Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with previous experience writing business requirements, use cases, process flows, and functional specifications

•          Exceptional presentation skills; adept at PowerPoint, Excel and Visio.

•          Extensive knowledge of common business issues and comfort with numerical and financial analysis

•          Strong knowledge of business processes, business operations and accounting

•          Strong knowledge of project management

•          Works extremely well in team settings

 

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

•          Forecasting and financial modeling experience

•          Experience with Corporate Performance Management tools

•          Experience working with a global organization

•          Training background

•          PM or BA certification
