Job Description

We are currently seeking a Drupal application developer to work within a dynamic and highly innovative team environment in our Web Sales Insurance Consumer group. This individual will contribute to the definition, design and development of high quality Web sites and Web-based solutions. Applications will be primarily developed using Drupal and related technologies; however, a diverse range of experience in multiple technologies is desirable.

The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated and adaptable to learning and understanding new technologies, be able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet aggressive deadlines, and have the ability to work both independently and in a team, producing quality work products with attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with system analyst and UI prototypers, subject matter experts and project team in the development of database driven Web sites
• Design, develop, and maintain Web sites and Web-based solutions utilizing Drupal and other Web-based technologies
• Effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet aggressive deadlines.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of software development experience with Web-based development tools and technologies.
• 1+ years of experience developing solutions using Drupal.
  SVN - Environment Management.
• Understanding of Web development practices, the software development life cycle, and development in accordance with industry best practices.
  Extensive familiarity with (X)HTML, XML, CSS and JQuery, JavaScript.
  Experience with Drupal theming and common module configuration (view, panels, etc.).
• Individual needs to have good verbal and written communication and has previous experience leading a small team of developers 3 - 4.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in a technical field, such as Computer Science, Engineering or IT related discipline. W3C standards.
Familiarity with one or more of the following (or similar) programming languages: Java, PHP, .NET, Python, Ruby.
Database programming experience, using one or more of SQL Server, MySQL,DB2, or other relational database.
Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
